Brazen Butcher is the probable leader in the small field. BRAZEN BUTCHER (2) looks ready to fire on resumption with a couple of very handy trials under his belt. His first trial was right behind subsequent Saturday winner Long Service Leaf and Pike sticks with him on resumption. Maps beautifully and can make a statement on his return. SPIRITED STRIKE (1) disappointed fresh but bounced back last start over 1200m at this track. Back to 1000m today is some query, but the form out of his last start has worked out well and a forward showing is on the cards. WRITTEN WORDS (4) disappointed before the break but his form prior suggested he was on the rise, placing in an Open 3YO race two starts back. Nottle's claim comes in handy and a forward showing is expected. SILENT AMARDA (3) can improve on the fresh effort. LONDON'S RASCAL (5) will be fitter for a couple of trials coming in and won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Brazen Butcher can get the job done on his return.
