O'CALDINO (3) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Toowoomba over 2020m over the weekend. Will be handy in running despite the tricky draw. Quick back-up and looks hard to beat if lining up again. BORN TO BE ALIVE (5) is fitter for two runs back and ran a much improved race last start at Coffs Harbour on heavy going when runner-up. Looks ready to win. WHATJEUDOIN' (2) is fitter for two runs from a let-up, the latest over 1980m at Ipswich, beaten 4.5 lengths into fifth. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time. WAVERLEY (1) has been thereabouts without winning but comes back a notch for this on recent runs. Nicely placed and is sure to prove tough to beat.
