Cracking tempo with Miss Capitale and Mamushka leading the way. FORMAL (6) led for the judge and tried very hard but was nailed in a thrilling finish first-up over 1100m at this track. Fitter for that run and carries a similar weight after Llewellyn's claim. Has never raced beyond 1200m which is the only query, but he is a model of consistency and will give a great sight. AYE AYE CAPTAIN (10) has been kept fresh since being beaten under a length first-up over 1100m at the Kensington track on 27 April. That was her first run since November 2024 which adds merit to the performance. Only needs to show a little improvement to give this a huge shake. TWISTED QUEEN (12) returned from a 20-week spell with a last-to-first win over 1200m at Newcastle recently, her first start under Joe Pride. Lightly raced mare with a stack of room for improvement. RIMBAUD (8) ran well in a similar race here two weeks back and is ready to peak after three runs back. MAMUSHKA (7) wasn't far away first-up and should benefit from the shades going on for the first time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Formal on top in a good race to close the day.
