Reasonable tempo with Moonbeams probably leading but a few others should keep her honest. CLARA BOW (10) has been thereabouts in both of her starts to date, and will have Craig Grylls replacing an apprentice this time. She tries a mile for the first time, and on her home track for her peak effort, she should be hard to hold out. CEASE AND DESIST (2) needed his fresh-up run, and then improved to run second at Tauranga nearly 3 weeks ago over 1400m. He steps up to a mile, and with Opie Bosson keeping the faith, he can go one better in this. WILD THING (4) can do things wrong, but she was game in defeat when second at Ruakaka 15 days ago. She will take some pegging back in this. ALIKAT (5) will be peaking third up from a spell, and she will don the blinkers for the first time. Include her in all top 4 combos. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wild Thing each-way.
