Solid pace on the cards with Tideford and Corsa Veloce who like to get rolling early. Tough. CORSA VELOCE (7) found more like her best when beaten narrowly here in a blanket finish over a mile. She's well seasoned for the step-up to the middle distance and is well placed with the 3kg claim. Draws low and will position forward. BLOOMING EDGE (1) has also placed over this distance and improved his numbers, beaten a nose on the synthetic at a mile. Draws handy and the in-form Newitt is reunited. He hasn't won for a long while but gets his chance. OPENSEA (2) has been knocking on the door this distance range and comes back in grade off his half-length defeat on the synthetic. Keeps a handy 3kg claim and has a positive barrier. CARNOTAURUS (12) and SIR JAG (3) also rate well enough to be given a chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Corsa Veloce.
