Genuine tempo with Welwitschia leading the way. WELWITSCHIA (8) has six wins and three minor placings from 12 outings this preparation. Scored last start by 1.5 lengths at this track over 1600m after being prominent upon straightening. Steps up a level but he is capable of a big run. PRESTO RISE (7) finished third at Kawasaki two runs back but was less effective last time over 1500m there, finishing back in sixth. Ideally placed to give this a mighty shake. LIEN DU MIRACLE (1) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. This doesn't look as hard so she can play a big role. SUPER LOGO (4) missed the frame last start over 1200m at this track when seventh. Better than recent efforts suggest and worth consideration here.
