A solid tempo on the cards with Lyrical Beauty heading them off. SILVER SERENADE (9) spiked her figures belting the Gundagai Maidens by 3L as a $2.40 favourite. Has been kept on the fresh side, and the lightly raced filly has plenty of scope for improvement. Winning rider Boudvillain stays aboard and she can take the next step. VOLTAGE LASS (10) is another local with upside. Scored comfortably at the Sapphire Coast on debut as a $2.60 favourite and is sure to keep improving for the in-form Seib yard. Guymer rides today, replacing Boudvillain. Can give this a shake. PRINCE PAPA (4) peaks and is going well enough to make the finish. McDougall is a positive jockey booking, and he can sit closer today from the inside gate. LYRICAL BEAUTY (2) resumes for the local Matt Dale yard and Heywood sticks from a recent Kembla Grange trial win. She's likely to jump and run and can feature if presented on song. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Silver Serenade.
