Doubt they will go too hard without a noted leader engaged. Tough. SUNSPRITE (12) made solid inroads 1300m at Randwick Kensington on debut, beaten 2.5L. Was expected to need the outing and is sure to keep improving for a leading metro stable. Draws well enough, and she sits at the bottom of the handicap. Stablemate ROYAL CHIC (1) impressed at Eagle Farm in Stakes grade earlier in the year and will have taken fitness and learning from her first-up outing. She's still a work in progress, but jumps from a soft gate, and the 3kg claim brings her into it. Trust is required, but she has the ability. WAR KING (5) presents third-up and has been kept on the fresh side. Has laid a solid foundation in stronger races and respect the stable. SUPERATA (2) rates well enough off threatening efforts at Scone and Taree, and JVO can use the inside barrier to his advantage. The chances may not end there. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Sunsprite.
