Only a small field with Hakusan Pioneer likely to find a comfortable lead. HAKUSAN PIONEER (2) held on well to finish second last time out over 1400m at this track after leading for much of the way. Will take catching. TOKAI ETOILE (5) improved last time out, finishing third at the end of 1400m at this track. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. ILLUMINATOR (1) finished second last time out over 1400m at this track after a win at the previous outing. Yet to miss the frame in three starts over this course and distance. Expected to feature again. VIVA ROSITA (6) missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track when sixth. Better than recent efforts suggest and worth consideration here.
