Anticipating good pressure with many of these lining up for the first time. Debutants hold the key. OZONICA (6) debuts for the Trinder yard and has looked smart winning his four most recent trials. Two of them have been here on the synthetic, and race rider Byrne Burke has been aboard all. Has the rail and finds a winnable assignment. HOULIHAN (11) debuts and was an easy trial winner here before delivering another at Longford. Looks to possess plenty of ability, and Newitt is a key jockey engagement. FRENCH SOUL (5) debuts and maps well. He's also shown enough at the trials to suggest he's a chance. ALPINE WOODS (9) resumes off a narrow defeat at Hobart on a heavy surface and has three trials under the saddle. May need one, but deserves a betting watch. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ozonica appeals on what we've seen.
