Small field but plenty of pace engaged, including Mazzini, It's Jagger Time and Coal River. MAZZINI (6) is a leader who bounced straight back into the winners' circle, spacing an Open 3 field at Launceston. Uses an inside barrier and has 2kg weight relief. The promising gelding is beautifully placed to win again. MAGNAPRIME (2) brought strong form to resumption and missed a whisker. The money came again at Hobart, following, and he delivered at CL3 level. He's Stakes-placed and still shy of his best. In good hands and is a threat. WHIPPIN PICCADILLY (5) just missed this grade/trip behind The Longest Yard at Launceston. Has the inside barrier and Newitt, and can get some of the money. GARCON D'ESPOIR (1) went well at Launceston 39 days ago and has been kept up to the mark with a big trial win at this circuit. Has the blinkers on for the first time and should be around the mark.
