Without any speed horses engaged they won't go too hard. VINEUX (7) has been narrowly beaten her past couple but won't get many better chances than this, striking what looks a very thin race. She just missed at Ararat before a tough effort in a stronger maiden at Geelong last time, and the Allen/Freedman combination also stands out in this lineup. HIGH HEELED (6) is going okay, good when managing her second career placing at Geelong two back, okay there last time in a steadily run affair. She can land in a good spot here and present as some danger. CHARLIE MESSY HAIR (1) has had a few chances and his past couple have been disappointing but prior form suggests he's not the worst. DELTA MOON (4) and SARDIUS (2) both have plenty to find but could challenge for a third or fourth spot. SUGGESTED PLAY: Vineux should be taking care of these.
