Solid tempo anticipated with Global Eclipse heading them off. OUTCASTER (10) should be a big improver. Fitter for two runs back and is crying out for the extra ground. Comes back a notch and in this class is expected to improve sharply. PROVEN RECORD (6) could well prove the main threat. Lightly raced mare who has had two runs in Victoria, scoring over a mile fresh then blowing the start last time and was never in the race after that. Fitter and the extra trip shapes as though it will suit. Has much more upside than any of these. THUNDER ZEUS (4) is also fitter for the two runs back, showing improvement second-up when out to 2000m. Fitter again and should feature with any luck from the wide draw. ABERLUTELY (12) was good two back then disappointing last time. More than capable this level but will need a little luck from the draw. GLOBAL ECLIPSE (1) has placed at all three this time in and is bursting to win. The claim offsets the big weight a little and will give a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Outcaster.
