MAHUIKA MAROI (5) was rewarded for her consistency when accounted for a maiden field in a tight finish over 1720m at Grafton. Bred to get this trip and further and Ben Looker retains the ride. Top-three player. CRIMSON SPIRIT (3) indicated a win was imminent when she plugged away late for a respectable third over 2200m at the Sunshine Coast. Will relish Newman's claim and she finds an easier assignment. CAESAR CAKE (2) finally got off the mark at start twenty-nine with a tough Maiden win over 2000m at Toowoomba.
