TAMAMO BROWN TIE (15) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1200m at this track, beaten only 1.3 lengths after being prominent at the turn. Top chance to break through. PIERCED EARS (2) finished third when resuming from a spell last start over 1200m at this track. Looks to have an edge on most of these. MAXIMUM DRIVE (4) did little and finished 2.75 lengths from the winner in fifth over 1200m at Chukyo last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at Kokura the run before. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. DANON GO ICHI (1) has been kept fresh for this since a disappointing eighth last start over 1200m at Chukyo six weeks ago. Well placed to make amends.
