Wandering Eye and Hedged Your Bets can be prominent. SHIKANIC (2) is a noted fresh performer an absolute track and trip specialist. Draws well for Rawiller who is a handy pilot. Can return with a bang. SAMANTH (8) improved sharply on her seventh two starts back at Balaklava with a win as public elect over this track and trip two weeks ago, getting home by a long neck. Looks well placed so expect another big run. LAKEHURST (7) was a winner on dirt over 1000m at Broken Hill two back but missed the frame on turf over 1200m at Clare last time. Worth following up back on dirt. THE LAST STAND (4) improved last start but found one better in Samanth, who he now meets with a good pull at the weights. Not drawn as kindly this time but is a chance to turn the tables. HEDGED YOUR BETS (1) has good early speed and can give a sight. Keeping safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Shikanic to win first-up.
