MEINER REGULUS (5) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing second and beaten only one length over 1300m at this track. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. COSMO BALLATA (6) resumes from a spell of five months and is having his first outing under new trainer Shinji Kudo. Finished 16th at Fukushima over 1800m at the opening run last time in work. Worth serious consideration. ST KILDA (10) last appeared eight weeks ago over 1200m at Kokura when he finished 16th. This is his first run for the Daisaku Mekusa stable. Must be wary. AMAZING RUN (3) has not appeared since he finished sixth over 1300m at this track on November 1. That form would hold up against these.
