Without an obvious leader, it may be left to Guitar Gangster, Alvin and Annabelle Sunshine to control the tempo. MAHMUDAH (9) looks much better placed here having tackled a stronger race at Caulfield last time in a Class 3, hardly disgraced there at a 60-1 shot when beaten under three lengths. Her form in handy maidens prior reads very well, she should take plenty of catching here. SERENE DEFENSE (6) resumes. He ran well fresh last time in work and was good again second up. He's still lightly raced and can run a bold race. COLT FORTY FIVE (4) resumes. His form early in his last campaign was good, just missing at Geelong when fresh up. He draws ideally and can give a sight. RAINING FIRE (11) has placed in both starts to date, off a short spell into last start at Werribee. She can strip fitter now and figure prominently. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mahmudah to win.
