Expecting a slick tempo with Cruzador, Pomo's Big Spender and Million Reasons leading the way. FIRE ALARM (2) is better than her post maiden effort over 1800m on the turf. She won her maiden over this course and distance. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and from pole position, she may be the one to side with. MISTER WHISTLE (12) ran on strongly when second over 1300m on this course last time. He finished third in his only attempt over this course and distance. With a bit of luck in the running he should pose a threat. SAMTHEWISEMAN (11) stayed on well at the finish over 1200m on the turf last time. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners. LUCKY SPIRIT (5) ran a fair race over 1200m on the turf last time. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. If getting away to a clean start, he should be finishing in the money.
