A race that lacks early pressure on paper. MARATHIA (11) has yet to miss the top-four this time in. Managed to fill a minor placing at this track two starts back before finishing fourth over 1100m last start. Finds a nice race and gets the chance to break through. RELATIVES (9) was sent out favourite last start but found a couple better over 1200m on turf at Goondiwindi, making it back-to-back placings. First try on synthetic today. In form and is in the mix again. BEAUTY EIGHT (1) resumed from a spell last start with a sound third over 1050m at this track after being prominent at the corner. Fitter so could go a couple better. WEEKEND ARTIST (2) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of 11 months, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 1540m at this track. Must be included in calculations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Marathia to break through.
