Abundant pace from Obsidian, Unsolved Riddle and Circus Lights vying for the lead with Sheets And Goggles on their backs. OBSIDIAN (1) was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over this course and distance last time. He raced from a handy position, quickened up well and drew clear of his rivals. He takes on a stronger line-up but he has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand. SAIL THE SKY (8) had excuses in his last two starts. He has won once and finished second once from four starts over this course and distance. He runs well for Gavin Lerena and can finish in the money. WRITTEN IN STONE (7) challenged strongly when second over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course last time. He finished third in his only attempt over this course and distance. Has each-way claims. GUERILLA WARFARE (3) produced a fair effort last start when finishing sixth over 1600m at Vaal. Well placed and can place.
