Drawn to enjoy a nice run just off the lead. Expecting a bold showing. BEETHOVEN (10) turned in a modest performance when second last time out over 1400m at this track, beaten 3 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including three wins. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. BURGEON FORTH (2) did a good job last start to finish second at this track over 1400m, beaten 0.8 lengths. Has a solid record here at the distance with two wins and a minor placing from four tries. One of the main contenders. POPPING BERRY (12) turned in a fine effort to score by 0.8 lengths at this track and distance last start in a much improved run. Finds another suitable race and can figure in the finish.
