Cracking tempo looks assured with many of these capable of pushing on early. TURBO TORQUE (4) made a strong return from a spell with a second over 1000m at Sunshine Coast Poly when he did his best work late. That was just his second start so has scope for improvement. Can crack the maiden win. CAT CALL (1) was runner-up at this track two starts ago then finished 1.5 lengths from the winner in fourth last time at Rockhampton. Great chance to break through. PARADING GUS (2) is a gelding by Exceedance out Lockley Parade. Cost $80,000 (Inglis 2024 Classic Yearling Sale) as a yearling. Has placed in both trials and the inside draw is an aid to a first starter. RISE AND RESIST (3) is a Maurice gelding who cost $80,000 (Inglis 2024 Classic Yearling Sale) as a yearling and his makes debut. Runner-up in a recent trial. With the blinkers on a bold run is anticipated. SUGGESTED PLAY: Turbo Torque to progress off his good return and win.
