Moderate pace with Taiki Chronicle rolling to the lead and setting the tempo. JOY BOY (2) ran well on debut last start to finish third over 2400m at Hanshin in a tougher race. Promising type with improvement to come so he should be in the finish again. PREDESTINARE (3) is back from a short break. Closed last campaign with back-to-back placings, the last of which was at this track nine weeks ago. A bold showing is anticipated. VALDERRAMA (14) is a two-start maiden who returned last time and finished fourth at Hanshin over 2400m, beaten 1.5 lengths. Bold showing expected with added fitness this time. MAN OF NOBLE (12) wasn't beaten far over 2000m at Fukushima on debut last start and may appreciate the longer journey. Shapes as one to consider.
