Makoto Okabe has been the pilot at his last four wins. Major player. DEEP MIND (3) was well fancied last start over 1700m at this track when fourth. Masaaki Ohata is yet to win when aboard but has never been out of the money from three rides. Well placed and should be in the finish. REI GRACE (10) lifted strongly to score last time with one length to spare over 1700m at this track, making it two in succession. Should measure up again. IBUSHIGIN (4) improved last start but found a couple better over 1500m at this track, beaten 2.75 lengths. Likely improver who looks sure to play a big role.
