Kaluakoi to take charge ahead of Viking Invasion at a solid tempo.
KALUAKOI (12) did some work to race up on the pace then couldn't quite finish it off last start over 1810m at Eagle Farm. Needs this trip at the fourth run of the campaign. Beautifully in on 53kgs and will be in the firing line for a long way. PRINCE LEVI (10) settled midfield but couldn't quicken last time out in the G3 Lord Mayor's Cup over 1800m at Eagle Farm. Has raced three times over this distance for three minor placings so watch for a return to form in this suitable race. ENCODER (3) raced handy and refused to lie down in the Lord Mayor's, beaten under a length. Will relish the longer journey and won't spend a cent from the inside alley. BELVEDERE BOYS (4) gets back in his races so needs plenty of luck. Turned in an eye-catcher at Listed level at Rosehill last time. Key runner. CAVALRY MAN (14) impressed a fortnight ago at Eagle Farm. Won't mind the longer trip and on 53kgs makes plenty of appeal. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kaluakoi each-way.
