A strong pace on the cards with Pulveriser, Demarcay and The Irish likely to roll along early.
Lightly raced mare SCOTTISH PEARL (16) is edging her way to another win. Boxed on evenly through heavy going to finish third last start over 2200m at Scone. Beaten less than a length by Thebudgiesmugla when tested at 2400m last prep - that is excellent form for a race of this calibre. TRUMP CARD (12) added to his long list of minor placings when runner-up over 2200m here three weeks ago. Tried once over today's distance and filled a hole. Very fit and with the light weight looks sure to be in the finish. CHILLAXING (5) bolted in over 2150m here two back then led but knocked up behind The Irish over 2200m at Doomben last time. Worth another chance. WEONA REDWOOD (7) backs up eight days after a tough all-the-way win over 2450m at Beaudesert. Up in grade but will stay all day. PULVERISER (3) led all the way and won by a space over 2200m here recently. Cannot be underestimated. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Scottish Pearl.
