Fast pace with The Tumbling Paddy showing out and Fleetwood crossing to apply some pressure. UNODOSTRESCUATRO (2) probably should have won a race by now, and his form has been heading the right way on the poly track at Cambridge, most recently finishing runner-up as the favourite there 17 days ago over 2000m. Dropping back to 1600m on a wet turf track won't bother him, and he can go one better in this. THE DARZI (3) ran on powerfully along the inside when finishing second by a head at Te Rapa 3 weeks ago. He has trialled up nicely on this track before making his debut, and he won't be in this grade for long. ARTFUL DODGER (5) ran on late off a wide gate here on debut, and then was a brave third off another wide draw at Te Aroha last time out. He is still having no luck in the draw department, but he has the scope to win a race like this. DA ACE (1) is a very consistent maiden who has also copped a tough draw. Stick with him for all top 4 combos to be safe. DARK DUKE (9) ran on nicely for fifth over 1400m on debut, and the extra 200m here is ideal. Each way value.
