Good speed anticipated with a large contingent of first starters lining up. Tricky race to kick off the card with many of these babies facing the starter for the first time. TREV (5) is one of them but was a dominant Doomben trial winner and hoop Thompson stays on top for race day. Expected to run a big race on debut. BROOKE'S BLOOMS (6) has shown ability at the trials and is sure to be well-educated out of the Anderson yard. Maps ideally for this from gate two and any market support must be noted. HEN'S NIGHT (12) wasn't too far off them at Ipswich on debut and will have derived a stack of benefit from that race day experience. Top-three contender. ACACIA RIDGE (1) has been thereabouts in both trial hit-outs and should be kept very safe. CATFISH (2) next best with Wiggins on top from the inside marble. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Trev.
