AMBERLEY PATRONS RATING 65 1000m Track: SOFT 6 Out 6m to the 1000m then out 8m to WP |

A solid tempo anticipated with Hard Attack and Mr Fortrus ahead of Montero and Dracarys. KA YING LUCKY (1) treks to the South Island, and he has a good record on both the courses here. He has struck form at the right time, and 1000m is his pet trip. A wide gate will make things tougher, but if the track is heavy, then it may be a blessing in disguise. On top. BEST ROSE (6) was less than a length from the winner at Ashburton when second in her penultimate start, followed by a sixth placing as the favourite here 7 weeks ago. Dropping back to 1000m is the key, and she is worth another chance. Follow your money. MR FORTRUS (2) resumes from a spell and has relocated to the South Island since his last run at Whanganui in January. He comes to hand quickly and must be respected fresh. RUSSIAN ROSETTE (8) needed her fresh up run on the poly track just over 5 weeks ago, and she usually improves quickly with racing. Include in all top 4 combos to be safe in an even contest. JETSTREAM (3) dropped in class and was too good for BM60 company on the poly track here last start. Include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ka Ying Lucky each way.
