Well placed in this line-up and today might be his day. LIGHTS WILL GUIDE (4) was out of the money two runs back then just missed the frame last start over 1200m at Doomben, beaten 5.5 lengths into fourth after being in contention on the corner. Ideally placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. ALKEBULAN (6) made progress last time out, finishing 2.5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1540m at Gold Coast Poly. Draws low and has the ability to find the winners' list. The well-related LAKE OF FIRE (10) (half to G3 winner and G2 placed Oh Too Good) finished 3 lengths away in sixth at her last appearance over 860m at Gatton on June 3 after she was well back on straightening. Finds the right race and is worth some consideration. SUGGESTED PLAY: Flying Akeed to shed the maiden tag.
