LA PEINTURE (16) last appeared on November 9 when a good fourth over 1400m at Tokyo, beaten one length, which was her only run of the campaign. One of the genuine hopes in the race. FOOD MAN (8) stalked the pace when resuming at this track and trip last start then worked to the line steadily to finish second. Among the winning hopes. MONT SAINT GOLDEN (12) has progressed nicely in his last couple of runs. Finished third at Hanshin Dirt two starts back then scored by one length last time out over 1200m at Kyoto. Goes up a rung or two but he is up to the task. ANGE PROMISE (10) finished a 6-length 12th when resuming last start over 1200m in the G3 AOI Stakes at Kyoto. Has a decent second up record. Likely improver.
