Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Whisky Train. FRIEND IN NEED (4) was back in winning form on her preferred wet track at Ballina 17 days ago. The step up from 1300m to 1650m third up is ideal, and she can double the dose. ROMAN HEIR (7) has been below his best in his last couple of starts and gets Justin P Stanley back in the saddle for this assignment. He can bounce back into form without surprising. Each way claims with a 4.5kg drop in weight. SYNERGY IN MOTION (6) led all the way to post a deserved win at the Gold Coast poly track last start. He has the scope to go on with it now. KATDEEL (13) was only seventh last start but is better than that and is capable of figuring in the top 3 this time. Include in all combinations to be safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Roman Heir each way.
