Solid tempo likely from Platinum Ridge and Kotaishi. PLATINUM RIDGE (4) is coming off a maiden win but it was an impressive on pace performance over this track and distance. Half-brother to former classy mare Opal Ridge. Can only be better and with an inside gate will be in the firing line for a long way. KOTAISHI (3) drew wide and raced handy before fading a bit late at Goulburn. Much better set up for him this time around and expect him to be a player. MAJOR DESIRE (11) started big odds when resuming here and she didn't give up the fight when runner-up over this course. Improver drawn to have her chance. SPIELE (6) and COMMANDORO (9) have claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Platinum Ridge to win. Save on Kotaishi.
