Reasonable tempo with Bogues probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. Liked the return of BRITISH COLUMBIA (1) at Sandown Lakeside over 1400m when boxing on nicely for second. The slight rise in trip will suit and he'll strip fitter for that. Have to respect anything the Begg stable saddles up at the moment. MATAWAI (12) is racing well without winning, not beaten far in some solid Saturday races of late at Caulfield. She only needs to hold that form to be going close here. DEADLY PRESS (11) has come back well this time in, dropping in weight after just missing in a BM64 at Geelong last start. Can figure. OUTTA COMPTON (4) hasn't been beaten far of late and is another with each-way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: British Columbia on top.
