Stepped up to 1800m last time, and he's been tried in stronger races. Tumbles in weight, and that brings him right into it. JEALOUS (4) was expected to win here two weeks ago over a mile, and things didn't work out. She's suited to middle distances and would have these covered at best. Craig Williams sticks aboard, and she just needs average luck in the run. FIRE AND LIGHT (10) just missed this track and trip in a CL1 and also has plenty of weight relief. He may sit closer today from an inside barrier and is on a 7-day return. He can improve again and has claims. FIRST INNINGS (2) missed 1L at the Gold Coast in tougher grade, sharply improved. Jumps from the outside gate, but will hit the line. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Metcalfe each way.
