Looks a keen contest with Dreamdeel and Empusa pressing for the lead with Ocean Diva and Kenmare Bay close at hand. KENMARE BAY (4) has been runner-up at all three runs this prep. Came wide on straightening and lengthened well but just failed to pick up the winner over 1890m at Newcastle last start. Best form comes at the mile and the application of blinkers should sharpen him up. Deserves a win here. DREAMDEEL (2) started this prep with a couple of very nice efforts before a flop in a BM68 over this distance at Newcastle last time out. Generally a reliable miler so don't sack him off one bad run. ROTAGILLA (6) got too far back but did make some inroads at his latest run over 1500m at Hawkesbury. Down in class today and is cherry ripe after three runs back. The timing looks right. EMPUSA (7) broke her maiden last start with a tough win over 1500m at Hawkesbury. Looks ready for this progression. BLUEPINOT (3) struggled first-up in heavy going at Newcastle. Can improve sharply. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Kenmare Bay.
