Strong tempo with Smart Artie and Ice Crystal leading the way over Last Tremble. ICE CRYSTAL (8) is a leader who stepped up to this distance and belted the Maidens by 2.3L. Draws handy, and she can take the next step. SHY GUY (3) missed a nose this trip second-up and can improve again. The former Queenslander will be tough to beat. LAST TREMBLE (9) was plain off a wide gate last time, but his effort prior stacks up. Peaks, and can't be ruled out. SMART ARTIE (4) will enjoy a soft on-pace transit and can build on the deserved Maiden win. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Ice Crystal.
