Plenty of pace from Aethelwulf, Half Moon Island and Nuclear Power vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. WILD FIG (10) ran a fair race to finish fourth on debut over 1200m on this course. It must be noted that the horses that finished second and third that day have come out and won since. She should love the rise to 1400m and with luck in the running may find himself in the winner's enclosure. MIO DESTINO (4) showed improvement when second over 1200m on this course last time. He should enjoy the rise to 1400m and from pole position, he can go one better. OLIVE OYL (12) has finished third in her last three starts. She got going too late over this course and distance last time. She should give the males a run for their money. ATLANTIC PEARL (11) showed good improvement when third over 1200m on the polytrack last time. She is a progressive type and 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Nirvan Nastili retains the ride. She should enjoy the extra 200m on offer and can finish in the placings.
