Not much early pressure but Sengoki, Tancredi and Until Dawn can take up forward spots. EXTINGUISH (12) looks ready to break through after a string of consistent efforts, most recently finishing a strong second over 1500m at Ballarat. He was up on the speed throughout and stuck on gamely to the line, showing both tenacity and fitness. No tougher this and she draws to get the gun run. The one to beat. EMBELLISHER (7) started favourite last time at Murray Bridge but didn’t deliver, fading late to finish seventh. While that run was below expectations, he had support in betting and was close enough on the corner to suggest he may bounce back. UNTIL DAWN (9) was never in the hunt last time out at Strathalbyn, finishing well down the track, but that performance was out of character compared to earlier form. If he can return to the level he showed two starts ago, he’s more than capable of featuring in the finish. SAINT BOOM (14) chased gamely into fourth when resuming here. Worth following up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Extinguish to win.
