Strong pace from Spirit Man, Smokey Mountain and Talking Heads, with Safe Hustle and Justhandy on their heels.
ARCHER COUNTY (1) needed his resuming run at Geraldton, and he is normally much sharper second up. He has good form when campaigning on the bush circuit, and will be hard to hold out. TALKING HEADS (6) has raced his way into good form and will find this easier than his last couple of starts at Narrogin. He is 5 weeks between runs and is ready to break his win drought. SPIRIT MAN (5) ran a much better race at Geraldton when finishing third there over 1113m 6 days ago. He has a superior gate this time and is another who is long overdue for a win. JUSTHANDY (4) has been battling lately in some better company and with the advantage of the pole position, a form reversal is expected, especially with the aid of a 4kg claim. SMOKEY MOUNTAIN (2) will be peaking third up and is ready to put his best hoof forward. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Archer County to win.
