Expecting Excelaot to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip. SHUBAEL (13) ran a nice race fresh at Cranbourne, beaten just three lengths in what looks a stronger maiden than she faces here. Strips fitter, draws well and will be very hard to hold out. ELATION AND JOY (10) has raced twice to date, not beaten far in a pair of slowly run races. She has good speed and can take catching around this circuit. GOLDEN MIKKI (3) was okay fresh at Ararat when midfield which should've brought him on nicely. Can land in a good spot just off the pace and prove competitive. SHIMAZY (12) wasn't far away on debut at Avoca, finishing fourth. Better for that and with natural improvement can sneak into the finish. SMART MOVES (7) could run well on debut. SUGGESTED PLAY: Shubael to win.
