Strong tempo assured with Virya and Lightning Blue leading the way over Mokara Ace. VIRYA (5) was an impressive winner last time over 1400m at this track, scoring by 30 lengths and making it four straight wins. Will go close again on recent form. GLORIOUS APOI (11) was doing her best work late last start to get up for second over 1400m at this track. Osamu Shimohara who has two wins when partnering stays on. Best form puts her right in this. SERAPHINITE (12) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a eighth over 1400m at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. COSMO PIONIER (1) jumped from a wide gate last start and did well from there to run fifth over this track and distance. Has a much better draw this time and can improve sharply.
