King's Warrior to roll forward and dictate terms. METCALFE (4) raced handy then battled on well to just miss the placings at Doomben last start over 2060m. Down in grade today and should be peaking after three runs back from a spell. Ex-Singapore galloper JUNE (1) has made an impact in his three runs since coming to Australia, the latest a close second over 1800m at the Sunshine Coast in a Class 2. Query at this trip but on current form he is hard to rule out. MOANA KOHALA (6) improved sharply last start when second-up from a short break, coming from last on the bend to get up for a maiden win over the mile at Grafton. New to this trip but the latest effort suggests it won't pose a problem. CLASSIC SHIRAZ (9) is finding the line well in shorter races and looks ready for a crack at this middle-distance test. Difficult to make a case for the other runners. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Metcalfe.
