Solid tempo expected primarily from Mafee and Highstrung. MOHEGAN GODDESS (15) looks the improver here for her second preparation. She was firmly in the market on debut at Cranbourne but just a bit new there and struggled. She's been prepped up nicely with some very strong trial and jump out form, and with a bit more maturity she can take a power of beating. AMMO (7) is in a similar boat, tackling the Listed Talindert Stakes on debut at Flemington and dropping right out. Been given time to improve and he's trialled well enough for the top stable. ZOUSOUTH (11) is a gelding by Zousain on debut for the Freedman yard who has been jumping out quite well here and draws the inside. Expecting a big run. GALACTIC FORCE (9) is a colt by Cosmic Force on debut for the Moody & Coleman yard. Kicks off on his home track and must be respected. BERMONDSEY (8) was just fair fresh but showed ability last time in and could improve. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mohegan Goddess to win.
