GOING: S(6)

BLUE HAVEN POOLS SUPER MAIDEN PLATE 1000m

Track: Soft 6   Rain (Max: 22)   Rail: +3m Entire.

Oakfield Mars and Hard Rattle are both expected to press forward and take it up. OAKFIELD MARS (8) raced greenly but still battled on well for second, with a good gap to third, on debut over 900m at Newcastle last start. Should take plenty from that run and with some more race sense today can go one better. The flying NAMI'S JEWEL (7) has led for the judge at both runs this prep but found one better on each occasion, last time out going under narrowly over this distance at Goulburn. Very fit and sure to prove hard to catch around this tight circuit. INOUE (2) returns from a twenty-three-week spell. Raced three times in the maiden prep and placed twice. Should race handy from the nice draw and is a definite contender. ZO FRILLING (9) has been kept fresh since an eye-catching return over this distance at Port Macquarie forty-five days ago. Trialled since and should give a good account again. Joe Pride's first starter MIND BENDER (6) is bred to want more ground but must be respected if there is any market support. SUGGESTED PLAY: This looks perfect for Oakfield Mars.
