Strong pace with Captain Carnage, Fortunate Son and Global Royalty pushing forward, closely attended by Ideal Summer and Frangipani. IDEAL SUMMER (3) made natural improvement when second over 1600m at Turffontein last time. He stayed on well at the finish, but found one too good on the day. He is a progressive type and with luck in running can go one better. ETHICAL (5) was in need of her debut effort run over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course. She would have come on from the run and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she may pose a threat. BOLD ACTION (4) ran a fair race over 1200m on the Classic course last time. She is bred to enjoy the rise to 1700m. S'manga Khumalo is booked to ride and she should have improvement to come. LADY NOIR (8) ran an improved race when finishing midfield last start at Turffontein Standside when sent out at long odds. Looks suited and is worth including.
