GOING: S(5)

Jim McKinnon Stakes BM64 Hcp 1600m

Track: SOFT 5   Clouds (Max: 30)   Rail: True Entire Circuit.

There should be a bit of pressure with Loyal Consul and Mark Of The Man pressing forward in advance of Cape Doctor and Moveen. HALF YOURS (1) has been saved for this and impressed, beaten a whisker at Sandown first-up. He has an awkward gate again but is still well shy of his best, recorded over this trip. Go close. BARBIE'SDREAMWORLD (10) is a threat, building on a 1L defeat at Sandown. Maps for a soft run and the step up to the mile suits. CAPE DOCTOR (4) peaks off a narrow defeat this grade at Ballarat. Raced favourite in that, and the extra metres shouldn't bother. MIDNIGHT GLOW (3) resumed further improved, winning a Sale 58 comfortably over 1400m. He's proven second-up and is well in the mix. MARK OF THE MAN (2) and MISTER BUSINESSMAN (8) also deserve consideration. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Half Yours.
