Not much early speed of note and Pallet Cat and Cosmo Igrok may find themselves setting a steady tempo. BESSARABIA (3) finished out of the money two starts back then he was never in contention and was beaten 17 lengths when eighth in a 2860m contest at Kokura six weeks ago. Has the talent to put the recent run of form behind him. PALLET CAT (5) turned in a decent effort last start to finish second over 1300m at this track after being prominent at the corner. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. COSMO IGROK (6) failed to live up to market expectations last start when out of the placings over 1400m at this track, beaten 8 lengths. This is a nice drop in grade so he is perfectly placed to make amends. OISEAU D'OR (7) is fitter for two runs back from a spell, progressing nicely last time to finish second, beaten 1.5 lengths, at this track over 1400m. Settles back early but winds up late. Not to be discounted.
