Francine should have enough pace to lead a low-pressure contest. LUNA CAT (5) brings placings from Caulfield and The Valley, and that's good form. Maps for the run of the race and Childs is a key jockey switch, replacing the 2kg apprentice. PERSIAN SPIRIT (8) was spelled off a big 64 win at Geelong and resumed with a near miss at Warrnambool, bet $3. It was a big effort from a wide alley, and she's been kept on the fresh side. Yendall stays aboard, and that's a decent push for his chances. HOME RULE (1) resumed in Stakes grade at Flemington, and he's going to find this much more to his liking. She goes second up and will use the inside barrier. He's certainly good enough, and keep onside. BEOUR BAY (7) has been racing in rich contests and won't be far away with the benefit of the 2kg claim. MASTER MONTARO (3) was good two back, and that would have him in the reckoning. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Luna Cat.
